PROACTIVE SPORTS THERAPY was created for the specific needs of its clients.

It's working principles follows a designed working methodology by:

1. DIAGNOSING INJURIES
Within a clinical environment, your injury will be assessed and diagnosed.​
​
2. TREATMENT
​A Sports Therapist has many techniques to treat injuries including: Sports Massage, Manual Therapy Mobilisation Techniques, and Proprioceptive Neuromusculature Facilitation to name a few.
​
3. STRUCTURING REHABILITATION PLANS
To your injury, a detailed rehabilitation plan would be assigned, prescribing exercises to be completed at home.
​
4. INJURY PREVENTION
Concurring with the rehabilitation aspect, the prevention of re-injury will be a large aspect of the sessions, ensuring adaptations in training and strengthening of the injury site has occurred.
5. THE WHOLE BODY APPROACH
Many factors can contribute to injury. A thorough approach is undertaken by studying associated regions that could have contributed, or been affected by the injury, will limit the possibility of secondary injuries.

JAMIE PITTMAN
As a recently graduated Sports Therapy student from the University of Bath with a 2.1 grading classification, I'm looking to begin in my profession, applying the knowledge I have gained across the entirety of my degree. I am a confident, competent Sports Therapist, considering myself as extremely motivated, with a high willingness to learn, develop and progress in my profession.

My high work ethic resulted in key academic units such as my Dissertation project into "What are the rapid weight-loss and control techniques of British jockeys and the psychological implications of a constant weight-loss culture?" and Clinical Practice being assessed to a 1st grading classification.
I have the commitment and dedication to succeed, with a reflective working practice. I pride myself on professionalism, always ensuring the needs of my clients are met. The creation of PROACTIVE will enable me to apply these skills.
